Big Bang’s G-Dragon and Daesung to make guest appearances on ‘Healing Camp’

Group Big Bang members G-Dragon and Daesung have been confirmed to make guest appearances on SBS ‘Healing Camp’.

According to an insider at the network on the 10th, G-Dragon and Daesung have participated in the pre-recording of ‘Healing Camp’ in the YG Entertainment building on the 8th.

After the unfortunate accident and incident, the two stars had refrained from making public appearances and they had used the time to look back and introspect. They’ve come on ‘Healing Camp’ and cautiously talked about their experience since the incidents and as well as their current state of mind.

The insider at the network spoke, “The interview proceeded very quietly at the YG building near the hongdae area and the two stars started talking very cautiously. I believe it will draw huge attention not only because they haven’t been seen for so long, but because they’ll talk about everything on a nationally televised talk show”.

G-Dragon and Daesung’s episode of ‘Healing Camp’ is scheduled to be aired at the end of February.

Se7en places No.5 on Billboard World Albums Chart

Singer Se7en‘s new mini album has placed No.5 on the Billboard World Albums chart.
Currently promoting the title song from his new album ‘When I can’t Sing’, Se7en has ranked No.5 on the Billboard World Albums chart for the week of February 18th.

In truth, this isn’t the first time he has garnered this much international attention. Se7en has placed No.1 on iTunes U.S. R&B chart and No.2 on iTunes Canada R&B chart back on the 1st when the album was first released.

Se7en has included a mix of hop hop, R&B, and electronic on this mini album and listerners will be able to experience Se7en’s deep vocal quality.

Se7en has earned many praises from music fans with his impressive comeback and he’s also been drawing lots of attention by coming up with event ideas on his own. The movie theather date with the fans was his idea and on the 10th he will hold a fan signing to spend some quality time with the fans once again.

Kara’s ‘Super Girl’ hits Triple Platinum in Japan

 Group Kara continues to achieve impressive feats in Japan.

According to the January million single/album list released by the Recording Industry Association of Japan on the 10th, Kara’s 2nd full album in Japan, ‘Super Girl’ has been certified ‘Triple Platinum’.
An album is given the ‘Triple Platinum’ certification when it sells 750k copies or more. At 250k copies sold albums are certified as ‘Platinum’ and at 500k as ‘Double Platinum’.

Kara’s 2nd album has achieved ‘Triple Platinum’ in only 3 months after its release. The album ranked #1 on the Oricon Weekly chart on the first week of its release and it is even more impressive when you consider the girls did not have any special promotion for the album.

The album ‘Super Girl’ contains tracks such as ‘Jet Coaster Love’, ‘Go Go Summer’, ‘Winter Magic’, all the songs from the 3rd full album released in Korea, and several other hits that were re-recorded in Japanese language.

Kara is currently busy preparing for the group’s Asia Tour. Kara will kick off the Asia Tour, ‘KARASIA’ in Olympic Park, Korea on the 18th and on the 19th.

Kara debuted in 2007 with the group’s 1st album, ‘Blooming’ and this will be the first solo concert for the members. They aptly named the concert ‘KARASIA’, combining Kara and Asia, because they will be meeting their Asian fans through the concert tour.

Kim Hyun Joong’s album certified Gold in just 2 weeks after release

Kim Hyun Joong‘s album has been certified Gold in Japan.
According to the January million single/album list released by the Recording Industry Association of Japan on the 10th, Kim Hyun Joong’s Japanese debut single, ‘Kiss Kiss/Lucky Guy’ has been certified Gold.

The Recording Industry Association of Japan accredits ‘Gold’ certification to albums that sell over 100k copies. With his Gold certification Kim Hyun Joong is making news together with Kara, the group has reached Triple Platinum on the same day.

The Gold certification is even more impressive when you consider the fact that the feat has been achieved in just two weeks. Kim Hyun Joong has sold 71,812 copies of his album on the day of its release, it was ranked #2 on the Oricon Daily chart on the same day, and it continues to sell very well.

Kim Hyun Joong has kicked off his Japanese promotion with record setting numbers since last month. Kim Hyun Joong has sold most albums ever by a debuting foreign artist, since the inception of Oricon Weekly chart on March of 2009.

Kim Hyun Joong held his debut commemoration concert on the 5th, at the Yokohama Arena with 20,000 lucky fans. Kim Hyun Joong stated, “I’m only a rookie, thank you for giving me such great result”.

Han Ga In-Suzy & Uhm Tae Woong-Lee Jae Hoon looking amazing

The main poster for the new movie ‘Architecture Theories’ has been revealed.
In a recently revealed poster, the 4 protagonists of the movie are seen with the caption that reads, “We were all a first love for someone.”

In ‘Architecture Theories’, Seung Min (Uhm Tae Woong) is reunited with his first love Seoyeon (Han Ga In) after 15 long years, when she comes to him as a client for him to build a house for her. Uhm Tae Woong and Han Ga In are the protagonists and Lee Je Hoon and Suzy played the two leads’ teenage roles.

There’s a feel of love you get from the characters in the poster. Suzy and Han Ga In look so beautiful they look almost unreal and Uhm Tae Woong and Lee Je Hoon are sure sign that nice guys do come in handsome packages as well.

Lee Seung Gi rumored to be stepping down as MC of ‘Strong Heart’

Lee Seung Gi will be stepping down as the host of SBS ‘Strong Heart’.
An insider at SBS revealed that, “Lee Seung Gi will film the last episode in March. Currently ‘Strong Heart’ production team is looking for a new host who will replace Lee Seung Gi”.

Lee Seung Gi started hosting ‘Strong Heart’ from 2009 with Kang Ho Dong and from last year’s October 4th broadcast he had to host the show as a solo MC. There were many concerns that Kang Ho Dong’s absence would be very evident, but Lee Seung Gi’s even keel hosting abilities had earned him many praise from the viewers.

‘Strong Heart’ production team stated about Lee Seung Gi’s departure, “We are currently in discussion and nothing has been decided yet”. Lee Seung Gi’s agency stated similarly, ‘We are currently making adjustment”, and refused to give a clear answer.

Big Bang Seungri on G-Dragon & marijuana scandal, “cried for 20 minutes”

Big Bang member Seungri revealed the story of tears after the marijuana scandal broke out involving band mate G-Dragon.





On the February 20th installment of SBS’s ‘Healing Camp’, Seungri revealed “I trusted and really liked Jiyong hyung (G-dragon’s legal name).”

Seungri shared, “With such an unpleasant thing happening, it just hurt. I even drank and when I saw Jiyong hyung, just felt so sad. I cried for 20 minutes.”

As Seungri confessed to his tears, Taeyang added, “Honestly I was annoyed. The longer he cried, the more I was annoyed”, and had everyone laugh.
